Ruston, Louisiana — May 18, 2025 — Monroe Cricket Club emerged victorious in the grand finale of the Louisiana Tech Cricket League (LTCL) Season 2, defeating Bulldog Legends by 26 runs in a high-energy clash held at the Jim Mize Track and Field complex at Louisiana Tech University.

The two-day tournament, held on May 17 and 18, brought together six dynamic teams composed of student players from Louisiana Tech University, the University of Louisiana at Monroe (ULM), and LSU Shreveport. In the end, it was Monroe Cricket Club and Bulldog Legends — two standout teams — who battled their way to the championship match.

Batting first in the final, Monroe Cricket Club posted a competitive total, showcasing disciplined shot selection and aggressive middle-order play. Their bowlers then delivered a stellar performance, maintaining tight lines and taking key wickets to restrict Bulldog Legends and secure a 26-run win.

The match drew a sizable crowd, with students and community members rallying behind their teams in an atmosphere charged with excitement and sportsmanship. The final was not only a celebration of cricketing talent but also a symbol of cultural exchange and camaraderie among a diverse student body.

This year's league was fully organized by Nepali students currently studying at Louisiana Tech University. Their leadership and enthusiasm turned LTCL Season 2 into more than just a cricket tournament—it became a platform for community building, cross-cultural friendship, and expression of shared passions far from home.
