New York, USA — In a dazzling celebration of culture, creativity, and community, the inaugural 1st Top Shop Kathmandu 8848 Himalayan Music & Film Award USA was held on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at the renowned Melrose Ballroom in Long Island City. The event marked a milestone for the global Nepali entertainment industry, bringing the heart of Kathmandu to the vibrant pulse of New York City.

Broadcast live to international audiences via the BiStreams | AMN-USA YouTube channel, the ceremony honored exceptional talent from the world of Nepali music and cinema, recognizing artists who have helped elevate Himalayan arts on the global stage.

“This is a night where Nepal meets the world,” said a spokesperson from the organizing committee. “We are here to celebrate our roots, our talents, and our future.”

The event was organized by Reuel Events Inc., in partnership with Buddha Tax & Accounting and Shatsali Investment LLC—entities known for their continued support of Nepali talent and cultural promotion abroad.

Attendees were treated to a night of electrifying performances, heartfelt speeches, and captivating cultural presentations, as the Melrose Ballroom was transformed into a Himalayan spectacle.
