Tragic Drive-By Shooting at Chicago Nightclub Leaves 4 Dead, 14 Injured

Chicago, IL — A deadly mass shooting occurred late Wednesday night, July 2, outside Artis Restaurant and Lounge in Chicago’s River North neighborhood. The incident happened around 11 p.m. during an album release party for local rapper Mello Buckzz.
According to police reports, a dark SUV drove by the venue, and at least one gunman opened fire on the crowd gathered outside. The vehicle immediately fled the scene, and no arrests have been made.
The shooting claimed the lives of four individuals, two men and two women, and left 14 others wounded, several in critical condition. The victims were aged between 21 and 32 years old. Among the injured, 11 were women.
Local rapper Mello Buckzz expressed her grief on social media, confirming that two of the victims were her close friends.
Authorities continue to investigate the case as concerns grow over gun violence in Chicago, especially as the city approaches the Fourth of July weekend, a time that has historically seen a rise in violent incidents.
